My cousin naval pilot Pat Pasquarella was killed on November 12th 1969 as he was flying night manuvers off the USS Roosevelt when it was stationed in Florida. Any information you can provide would be helpful.
I am from East Bethel, MN, I served aboard Rosie from June 68-Dec 71. started in M-div, went to HAB div in yard period, ended up serving most time in A-5 div I am proud of Rosie and of my time in the NAVY!

Sorry, this is a private entry which is only viewable by the owner.
I served aboard the Rosie from 1972 to 1976 in 1st division. I remember the storms in the Straits of Gibraltar, going thru the hurricane in the middle of the Atlantic. The many Sea details, refueling, and resupplying. I also remember sending the Chaplin over to another ship using the hand line. I also remember the race problems that arose on board during that time as well. It was so cool while working on the sponson decks to watch the Dolphins swimming just ahead of the ships bow.
